This article will detail how to install and configure the Cloud Retailer POS.
Step 1: Installing Cloud Retailer POS
1.1 Login to your Cloud Retailer back office
1.2 Navigate to Admin
1.3 Search for and select Download latest POS full installer
1.4 Alternatively, you may also right-click on the Download latest POS full installer link, select Copy link address from the options
1.5 Open a browser and paste the copied link
1.6 Run the installer and follow the instruction
Step 2: Configuring Cloud Retailer POS
2.1 Once you've reached the Cloud Retailer Sync Configuration page, fill out the following fields:
Company Name: use the company instance name, that is: demoliquor if the back office instance is demoliquor.cloudretailer.com
Device Sync Port: 443
Device Sync Token: Follow the below steps to get the sync token
a. Click on the Admin tab > Device / Register list
b. Click on the register you need the token for and click Edit Selected Register
c. Scroll down until you see the Register Synchronization section. The Device Sync Token the installer is asking for is the Authentication Token
2.2 When the installer completes make sure you check the box that says "Launch Cloud Retailer Configuration Editor (see below)
2.2 You'll now see our synchronization utility. This process runs in the background automatically after the first synchronization of your POS. Click the Update button to start. Depending on the size of your database. This can take a few minutes.
2.3 Once the sync finishes you should see a message that says "Success with no warnings". You can now close this and open the POS application (shortcut located on the desktop).
