How do I add my store logo to my sales receipts?

Overview

You can add your store logo to your normal receipt or your full page receipt.

There are some size and format restrictions that will need to be followed.


Procedure

Normal sales receipt logo

The image cannot be wider than 250 pixels. Do not use transparent images. Transparent images will print all black on the receipt. The format must be monochrome Bitmap (.bmp).The filename must be OposStoreLogo.bmp.

Here is a sample:

Once you have the correct width, format and filename, you are now ready to upload the file to Cloud Retailer.
  1. Navigate to Admin > Global attachments 
  2. Look for a file named OposStoreLogo.bmp
  3. If the file is on the list, please follow the instructions below, otherwise move to step 4.
    1. Click on the file to open it.
    2. Download or save a copy of this file.
    3. Delete the file from the global attachments by clicking on the red X button before the file name. Click save.
  4. Click Add new attachment. Select your OposStoreLogo.bmp file and then click [Open].
  5. You will see your file has been attached and click on [Save].
  6. Click in the small box by the red X box at the start of the line and set it to POS  
  7. Navigate to Admin > Document Templates > Default Opos Sales Reciept
  8. Navigate to the bottom of the template and look for Attribute Set. Select template customization..
    1. On the list, enable Show Store Logo and click on save (upper right hand of the screen.
    2. If you are using an older CR version and you dont see this attribute set, follow the instructions below:
      1. Find in the template bool showStoreLogo = false;
      2. Change it to bool showStoreLogo = true;
      3. Click on [Save]
  9. Synch the registers. Close and reopen the POS programs for the registers.


Conduct a test transaction and your logo will appear on the sales receipt.  For any issues when doing the process, please call the Rite support team. This may be billable work.



The image quality will appear degraded and this is expected.
The average receipt printer will only print images in a very low resolution.



Full page receipt logo


The image cannot be wider than 250 pixels.
The format must be JPEG (.jpeg).
The filename must be StoreLogo.jpg

Once you have the correct width, format and filename, you are now ready to upload the file to Cloud Retailer.
  1. Navigate to Admin > Global attachments > Add new attachment.
  2. Select your StoreLogo.jpeg file and then click [Open].
  3. You will see your file has been attached and click on [Save].
Once the registers have synced the new file, you can test a transaction and your logo will appear on the full page sales receipt.

If you are unable to convert the file into the required specifications, we can provide this premium service for you.
Please note, we cannot create a logo. We can only convert a logo from a file that you supply us.

FAQ

Q: How do I remove my logo?
A: You can delete a logo by navigating to Admin > Global attachments.
Click the [X] button next to your logo and click [Save]
Once the registers have synced, the logo will be removed.
