Overview

This article will help resolve the following error:
"Unexpected error occured:rawObject must be a valid System.Object object. Parameter name: rawObject"

This error may appear when trying to process any transaction on the payment terminal. There are many reasons why this error can occur, but this message ultimately means that there is something wrong with the background data of Electronic Payments. This issue can be fixed by restarting the POS computer and power cycling the payment terminal.

Procedure

1. Save and close all documents on the POS computer.
2. Restart the POS computer.
3. Power cycle the power cable of the payment terminal. (refer to the user guide for the specific model payment terminal you have for detailed instructions on how to power off/on your terminal)
4. Open the Store Operations POS and run a test transaction.
