Overview
This article will cover how to manage registers only used on a part-time basis.
Procedure
Can I deactivate/reactivate Cloud Retailer POS lanes for my down/busy time of the year?
If you have multiple licenses of Cloud Retailer at your store, you may choose to deactivate a license during the slower times of the year. You must always keep at least one license active in order to take advantage of this benefit. If you take a single sale through a register you will be charged for a full month of service on that lane.
Currently, we are not imposing any additional fees for the Deactivation of service, Reactivation is $90 per lane as long as all hardware is the original hardware plus regular monthly charges.
**For all deactivations, please be sure to have all of your batches closed and shifts reconciled prior to requesting the lane be shut down.
Deactivation:
Email billing@rite.us letting us know the date, store, and lane you would like to deactivate. Be specific to avoid the wrong lane being shut down. You must also let us know if this is for a specific period (give the dates) or if it’ll be ongoing. Your ticket will be added to the support queue and processed in the order it was received.
Billing: Billing is processed on a calendar month basis. Your automated billing will be held beginning with the month following your deactivation. If you have prepaid for your service annually, a credit will be placed on your RITE account for the dollar amount of your remaining months.
Reactivation:
Email billing@rite.us letting us know the date, store, and lane you would like to reactivate. You must also let us know if this is for a specific period (give the dates) or if it’ll be ongoing. Your ticket will be added to the support queue and processed in the order it was received.
Billing: Billing is processed on a calendar month basis.
For customers that are reactivating for multiple months, your credit card will be charged immediately for a full month of service as well as a reactivation fee when the lane is activated. Your automated billing will continue the following month with your updated scheduled payment.
Examples:
Customer John Doe contacts RITE on January 5th to reactivate a Cloud Retailer lane and plans to keep that lane active for multiple months. He will be billed his full monthly fee immediately for the month of January as well as the reactivation fee and his automated payment for February would be processed on its normal date.
Customer John Doe contacts RITE on January 18th to reactivate a Cloud Retailer lane and plans to keep that lane active for the month of January. He will be billed his regular monthly fee immediately for the month of January and his reactivation fee. No recurring fee will be applied.
For customers that want to reactivate their Cloud Retailer lane for a specific period within one calendar month. You will be charged your regular monthly rate for 1 lane immediately. This lane will be deactivated at the end of your business on the last day of that month.
