You may be a in a situation where you are selling a store or breaking up a partnership, etc - and find yourself in a situation where you need to split apart your Cloud Retailer instances. You have a few options:
Option 1) Duplicate instances
This is the easiest option. We make an exact replica of the existing system and then deactive any stores that are no longer used in each instance. This means both copies will have access to sales history prior to the split date. It also means things like employees and gift cards will be duplicated.
The cost for this service is $400 and includes a resynchronization of up to 3 POS stations on the NEW instance. Original POS stations that are not changing do not need to be resynchronized. If you have more than 3 POS stations then there is a $50 per POS station fee.
Option 2) Duplicate instances, remove history from one.
Often times after splitting apart owners want one of the instances to NOT have any of the sales history as it relates to the stores other than their own. This means the original instance will contain all sales history backwards, from the time of the split and the new instance will contain all history for only the locations that are contained in that instance.
The cost for this service is $800, assumes we will remove history for no more than 2 other locations, and keep history for no more than 2 locations, and includes a resynchronization of up to 3 POS stations on the NEW instance. Original POS stations that are not changing do not need to be resynchronized. If you have more than 3 POS stations then there is a $50 per POS station fee.
Removal / keeping of data for more locations carries a fee of $150 per additional location removed / kept.
There WILL be some data remnants of the other stores remaining in the system, like employees, discounts, permissions, etc. You will be responsible for manually cleaning this data if you desire.
Gift card records by default will be removed from all instances except for one. There may be alternatives but these can be quite complex depending on various factors like, what is the origin of your gift card data (did we import from an old POS), etc.
Cost for advanced scripting starts at $1,000.
If you are splitting the instance more than once, these fees would be multiplied by that many times. For example, taking one instance of Cloud Retailer and turning it into three would cost more than splitting it into two.
