PLEASE NOTE THIS ARTICLE ONLY APPLIES WHEN THE APP WAS INSTALLED OUTSIDE THE PLAY OR APPLE STORES.
You will be given a URL link to download a new version of the application - something similar to this:
You will need to open a Chrome browser on the Andriod device and type this into the URL bar:
Scroll down toward the bottom and you'll see a download option
Wait for it to process then once again (a second time) hit download > then hit OPEN > then choose INSTALL. If you miss the OPEN option (it disappears after 30 seconds), it will show in the menu at the top of the Android device and you can open it from there.
In some cases - due to security settings on the device it may not allow you to open the APK from Chrome. If this is the case you may need to browse to the file using a File Manager type app. If you run into difficulties here contact RITE for assistance.
Once it starts installing it should take about 60 seconds, click OPEN.
You will either see a login screen or you may need to re-sync the device. If it's prompting to login compare and verify the version number matches what you expect. If so, proceed to login.
If you need to resync your database from scratch then you'll see a screen similar to this. Hit the menu button in the upper right and choose the option to delete the local database. Then hit the back arrow
in the upper right > go to settings and find the device sync token and report the last 5 digits back to RITE's technical team. We will then reset it so you can sync again.
Once that's done hit the back arrow on the settings page and go to sync. It will start a fresh sync which may take some time. Once you get the message that sync completed successfully hit the "CONTINUE" button and resume use of the application.
