Overview
With the new and improved Product Movement App you can get instant and accurate answers to many of the most common questions you have about a product. This feature allows you to get valuable information at a glance and all in one place. You can use the Product Movement Dashboard to answer questions like: "How much am I selling this product for?", "How much am I buying this product for?", "How much of this product do I have on hand?", "How much of this product do I have on order?", "When is the last time I purchased this product?", "How much of this product have I sold in the last month?", "In the last year?"
Aside from being able to answer all of these questions in one place, the Product Movement Dashboard also serves as a transaction report for Purchase Orders, Sales, Transfers, and Adjustments. It can also be used to make adjustments to cost and/or quantity on the fly.

How to access the Product Movement Dashboard
In order to access the Product Movement Dashboard all you need to do is open the back office then select Product> Catalog. From there find the product you would like to view the dashboard for, then click the magnifying glass next to the Product Code as shown:
That will take you to the Product Movement Dashboard as shown. If you have more than one location in the system then you can select your current location from the dropdown in the top left to see information specific to that location. If you only have one location in the system then your current location will be selected by default.

Using the Product Movement Dashboard as a transaction report
Beyond all the information that's automatically available at the top of the Dashboard, this screen also functions as a transaction report. To use the dashboard this way, you can select a location, type, and date range at the top of the report as shown below, or you can set them to All / Blank to show all transactions for the selected product.
- Location - As mentioned before, this is where you can select the specific store location that you would like to see information for. After a location is selected, everything on the dashboard will be specific to that location.
- Type - This field will default to All which means you will see all transactions of any type for the product during the given date range and location. To filter this down further, you can select one of the Types from this dropdown.
- Purchase Order - This will filter the report to only Purchase Order transactions
- Transfer In - This will filter the report to only Store Transfers where the destination location is the currently selected location.
- Transfer Out - This will filter the report to only Store Transfers where the source location is the currently selected location.
- Sale - This will filter the report to only Sale (or Void / Return) type transactions.
- Manual Adjust - This selection filters the grid to only transactions that were created by manual adjustments. This includes adjustments made using the Product Movement screen itself.
- Cost Adjust - This selection filters the grid to only Cost Adjustment type transactions. This includes cost adjustments made on the Product Movement screen itself.
- Inv Count Adjust - This filters the grid down to only transactions made by processing an Inventory Count.
- Start - Use this field to specify the earliest transaction date that you would like the report grid to include. Any transactions that occurred before this date will be excluded from the report grid. This selection can be used with the End date to create a date range for the report or it could be left blank to include all transactions.
- End - Use this field to specify the latest / most recent date that you would like the report grid to include. Any transactions that occurred after this date will be excluded from the report grid. This selection can be used with the Start date to create a date range for the report or it could be left blank to include all transactions.
- Clear Filter button - The button at the bottom that looks like an eraser is the Clear Filter button. This button will set the Location to All, the Type to All, the Start date to the first of the previous month based on todays date (ie. if its December 15th it will set the start date to November 1st) and the End date will be set to blank / all.
Adjust Cost or Quantity on the fly
As mentioned before, the Product Movement Dashboard can also be used to make adjustments to your quantity and/or cost right from this screen using the section shown below. There are actually a few different ways to make an adjustment here and I will describe each down below.
In order to make any adjustments using these fields there must be a single location selected from the top left dropdown since the quantities and costs are specific to each location.
- Quantity on Hand - This is the current quantity on hand of this product at the selected location. This field is also editable so if you make a change to the Quantity on Hand then click Adjust it will trigger a Manual Adjust transaction to change the quantity on hand.
- Average Cost - This is the current average cost of this product at the selected location. Like the Quantity on Hand field, if you make a change to the Average Cost then click Adjust it will trigger a Cost Adjustment transaction to change the average cost at this location.
- Adjust Quantity By - This field allows you to enter a quantity positive or negative and have it added or subtracted from the On Hand as a Manual adjustment transaction when you click Adjust. The field below the amount allows you to set the cost for that quantity to be transacted.
- Adjust Reason - This is used to give a reason for the adjustment. This reason will be tied to the adjustment to help identify why the quantity was changed.
