This article will cover the error, "The selected discount cannot be applied at the specified time because of the time filters", shown below. This error will appear if a Custom Discount is attempting to be applied outside of the discount's specified time filter. Note: The message does not specify the name of the discount.
This is typically only encountered when a Custom Discount is assigned to a Customer or a Loyalty Program. Following the steps below, you can retain the discount settings while suppressing any time-related error message.
- Log into the BO
- Navigate to Admin -> Custom Discounts
- Search for any discounts that are configured with an expiration date/time
- Edit the selected discount
- Check the Suppress Time Message checkbox
- Click Save
- Repeat if necessary
