Anniversary

The Anniversary Rule Engine should be used to reward a customer based on date milestones.  There are three date milestones to choose from the birth date, the date the customer joined your loyalty program, or the customer's last visit day.


Birth Date

You can reward your customers on their birthday.  Either provide a special way to earn a specific number of points or offer a special discount to be used on their birthday. 


Register Day

You can reward your customers on the day they join your loyalty program.  An example would be a special discount when a customer joins your loyalty program.  You can choose to have this be a one-time reward or a yearly recurring reward.


Last Visit Day

You can reward your customers based on the anniversary of their last visit day.


Configuration

  1. Navigate to Admin -> Loyalty Programs -> Select your loyalty program
  2. Add a new Earn or Redeem rule in the related form
  3. Set the Rule Engine Type to Anniversary
  4. If setting up an Anniversary Earn Rule, the example below will give the customer a FREE 500-point bonus on their birthday.
  5. If setting up an Anniversary Redeem Rule, the example below will give the customer a FREE reward on their birthday.



The Price Points Earn Rule and Price Reward Rule below behave differently for Earn and Redeem purposes.

Price Points Earn Rule

The Price Points Earn Rule Engine should be used to reward a customer based on currency milestones.  When configuring an Earn Rule using the Price Points engine type, you can set the multiplier of points earned per dollar spent.  The default is 1.00 which is 1 point for every dollar.




Price Reward Rule

The Price Reward Rule Engine should be used to reward a customer with a discount of X based on Y number of points.  For example: 1 point redeemed equals


Proportional

The Proportional Rule Engine is similar to the Price Rule except the points are rewarded based on a percentage of the subtotal.  For example, if the transaction subtotal is $199 and the points proportion is set to 10%, the customer would earn 19 points.



Quantity

The Quantity Rule Engine should be used to reward a customer based on quantity milestones.  For example, you want to run a promotion on 12 packs of Busch, and Loyalty customers would earn an additional 5 points for each unit sold.



Reward (Redeem Rule Only)

The Reward Rule Engine should be used to reward a customer based on points earned from previous transactions.  This is the recommended Rule Engine when configuring any discount based solely on points accumulated. 


Visit

The Visit Rule can not be used in conjunction with other Earn Rules.  It is recommended to have separate Loyalty Programs specifically for Visits.


The Visit Rule Engine should be used to reward a customer for making any purchase in your store.  This is best used for making a Loyalty Program that is Tier-based as you can set the number of points earned per visit for the first X visits and increase the number of points for the next X visits.
